The Diamond Willow Inn is just north of the Missouri River and just south of Medicine Lake National Wildlife Refuge. To the north and west is the Fort Peck Indian Reservation and the Fort Peck reservior, one of the largest man-made bodies of water in the world. Williston, North Dakota is to the east.
